"No. Now, you see Erin," an old woman said, "the sides are too wavy. What you'd summon might become deformed." She hovered over a young girl with curly red hair pointing at a five point star drawn with chalk.
The old woman's dark green eyes shined with an ancient wisdom. They watched the young girl, Erin, smudge a side of the star and then redraw the line on the wood floor.
"I know Grams, I'm fixing it." Erin said. She paused and drew different symbols in the stars points.

Lesson number one of a witch-ling, a witch in training, or warlock-eys, a warlock in training, magic: Everything must be balanced. In nature there is always a balance, therefore there must be a balance in the magic that a witch-ling or warlock-ey use so that they may perform their magic and successfully complete their first summoning.
When a witch-ling or warlock-ey does their first summon, who or what ever is brought forth is bound to protect, assist, and watch over the witch-ling or warlock-ey for the rest of her or his life. When the witch-ling or warlock-ey dies, then the familiar, their summoned being,
